Dallas Duo September Whole30 Recap

Whole30 Dallas Duo Coaching

Our Dallas Duo Whole30 coaching groups bring so much joy to my life! Each group we lead is an opportunity to connect with our local community and to share something that has the potential to positively impact lives. What isn’t to love about that?!  Whole30 changed my life and I love to pay it forward by supporting others on their journey…

As you may already know, (but just in case you don’t!) my friend, Whitney Stuart is the other half of the Dallas Duo!

We’ve been coaching together since 2017, when we launched our social and interactive program. I feel fortunate to have an all-around amazing partner, who I enjoy working with and learn so much from. We each contribute our unique skill sets and personalities to coaching and bring balance to one another! We’ve had many fun memories over the years and it’s hard to believe the September session was our 8th in-person group! We hadn’t coached a group since January 2020, before the pandemic, and we were ready to get back to it. We missed the connection the groups bring and our community missed it too!

This fall’s reset took on a whole new meaning for me personally…

Sending Marisa off to college at the end of summer was a huge transition for our family. Coming home and jumping into coaching a Whole30 group felt purposeful and something familiar to look forward to in the midst of all the change! Being in the company of wonderful, supportive women each weekend was such a blessing to me during this time.

Curating the schedule is a labor of love that Whitney and I truly enjoy!

We aim to make it the best possible experience and outcome for our members each time. We comb through past fitness and dining partners to see which partners we can repeat and then add in new arrivals to the Dallas scene. Every 6 week session is exciting and different! We try to match each week’s line up with Whole30 Approved or compatible brand(s) to share with our members. This is in addition to the amazing swag bags that clients get at our very first meeting, the kickoff!

So, let’s jump into this recap, shall we?

Excited to share highlights from Week 1-3 here and head over to Whitney’s blog, Whitness Nutrition, for Week 4-6 highlights!

Week One- The Kickoff!

This year was the first time we hosted two kickoff meetings in one day! Double duty for the Duo! We started the day in Dallas at MVMENT, a gorgeous studio (with an in house coffee bar!) specializing in boxing, HIIT, and yoga classes. It was a welcoming space to meet and our members were gifted a goodie bag that included a free class pass to come back for a class at their convenience!

Afterwards, we went to Whitney’s house for a quick lunchbreak and then loaded up the car and headed to barre3 Frisco for Kickoff #2! Tammy Hischke is the owner of this studio and was so gracious to host a special kickoff to make it more convenient for her clients.

At both kickoffs we covered all the bases/guidelines in detail and answered any questions that arose. The goal here is that members feel equipped and motivated to start the reset! We distributed the swag bags, bursting with Whole30 approved/compatible groceries (see photos) and sent everyone home with a fresh prepared meal from Territory Foods delivery service to try. Sharing grocery guidance, along with meal delivery/pick up services is another resource we love to pass along to our members so they can easily set themselves up for success!

I love the energy at our kickoffs where we meet our new members IRL and welcome back alumni.

We almost always have returning members in our groups and it’s great to hear updates and how they are living their Food Freedom lifestyle! Their experience makes them great mentors to the newbies. It was a long but fulfilling day of coaching!

Week Two-Back at barre3!

Studio owner and Dallas Duo member, Tammy led our workout, a barre/yoga/pilates hybrid, which was super challenging and fun! Post workout nourishment came from Up Inspired Kitchen, where we chose from their delicious Whole30 compatible brunch and lunch options.

We chatted about our first week’s challenges and wins and members took home The New Primal jerky sticks, Bare Bones Bone Broth, Siete Taco Seasoning (quick dinner hack!), and the latest seasonal nutpods flavors. Adding flavor is a key to success on this reset and these products support that!

Week Three- Sweat and Savor!

We started the day at Session Pilates, a fave ongoing studio partner! Session’s reformer-based, music driven pilates classes are always on point and everyone loved Judi’s energizing flow. Want to try it? If you’re in Dallas or Plano, use my code: loubiesandlulu for a free intro class! OR try their online reformer or mat based (minimal equipment) pilates classes anywhere anytime with a free session@home 7 day trial

We hopped over to Original Chop Shop a few doors down post class where we chose from a variety of compatible bowl options. We brought our own sauces this time for members to sample with their meals. For the week ahead, they took home Primal Kitchen Buffalo Sauce, Tessemae’s Ranch Dressing Single Serve Cups, and Mesa de Vida Recipe Starter Sauces. These sauces pack a flavor punch and are perfect for adding a boost to simple meals!
