WHOLE30 / PALEO GIFT IDEAS

Planning to start the New Year focused on your health, with the Whole30?

Or, are you looking for a gift for someone who is?  Well…check out my round-up of items that are SO helpful when you are spending more time prepping and cooking healthy food at home.  I have many of these items and use them everyday, and some of them are on my wish list this Christmas.  Prior to my first Whole30 almost two years ago, I hated to cook.  But after my first one, I was hooked because of how great I felt and the results I experienced.  I started to actually like finding new recipes to try, and I discovered the joy of cooking!  These days, I get excited when I find new gadgets + appliances that make cooking easier or more efficient.  I know…that sounds so boring, but really, it is FUN!  It has become a lifestyle for our family, and I love it.  We are starting our Whole30 on January 1st and would love to have you join us…

Loubies and Lulu Whole30 / Paleo Gift Ideas:

Le Creuset Classic Tea Kettle:  I like to have caffeine free herbal tea after dinner or before bed.  It helps to curb the cravings for sweets that sometimes come at night!  Love this one in red.

Morton and Bassett Herbs and Spices:  Love this brand!  No fillers or junk in their products.  The Chili Powder blend is my favorite, I cook with it all the time!

Le Creuset Coffee Press:  These are so pretty, and will keep your coffee warm longer than the glass ones do.  On the Whole30, you’ve got to get used to drinking your coffee black, so make sure you are using good coffee, for the best flavor.

Apron + Pot Holder:  Kitchen Style!  Look cute in plaid while you are cooking with this coordinating apron and potholder…and protect your clothing, too.

Ninja Kitchen System:  Love this one, because it includes a blender jar and a food processor bowl that both work on one base unit.  I am not a fan of lots of appliances on the counter, so this one gets my vote.  Perfect for making homemade mayo, salad dressings, cauliflower rice, salsa, and more.

Cutting Boards:  Plastic or Wood, either is great for food prep.  I like to have a few on hand in different sizes to choose from.

Breville Slow Cooker with Easy Sear Insert:  Love this slow cooker with an insert that you can sear your meats in before adding the rest of the ingredients.  I am always trying to minimize the amount of dishes we have to wash, and this one does the trick!  There is so much you can make ahead of time in a slow cooker when you are doing the Whole30.  Recently we tried the “Crock Pot Carnitas,” from Popular Paleo, and they were delicious!

Water Infuser Pitcher:  You will be drinking a lot of water, so have fun with it, and make some infused water.  Citrus fruits, berries, and cucumbers are a few of my favorites.

Dish Towels:  Love the messages on these…recruit some help in the kitchen!

Paderno Vegetable Spiralizer:  Such a great tool for spiraling vegetables.  Zucchini noodles (zoodles) are a favorite, but this can be used on lots of other veggies, too!  Use them as a base or side in any meal.

Wusthof Knife Set:  Great knives make a difference in food prep!  It is good to invest in the best quality you can afford, as you will be using these a ton.

Cookbooks (below):  I am including some of my favorite books and cookbooks that are helpful for the Whole30.  Important to note that while the recipes are Paleo, not all recipes are Whole30 compliant in some of these…as always, read your ingredients carefully!  Definitely start with It Starts With Food.”  It explains the program in detail and will tell you everything you need to know about the Whole30!
