STITCH FIX REVIEW : ONLINE PERSONAL SHOPPING

tumblr_inline_mkdn876jaP1qz4rgpI think I may have mentioned before that while I love to shop, I am guilty of picking out the same types of items over and over again.  (Not including my Lululemon gear, which I basically LIVE in!)  I need to focus on what is lacking in my wardrobe, so that I am not at a loss when I need something to wear to an event, date night, etc.  This is where Stitch Fix comes in!  It is an online personal shopping service that selects things for you according to your preferences and price point.  At first, I was reluctant to try it because, for me, part of the fun of shopping is selecting things for myself.  But, I thought it might be helpful to have someone else do it for a change!

Here is what I received in my first Fix (clockwise from top left) : A navy and white nautical print maxi dress from Tart, a chambray shirtdress from Sanctuary, an emerald green racerback tank from Eight Sixty, black jeggings from Sanctuary, and a gold and orange enamel bracelet.  The photos below are of the actual tags that came with each piece of clothing.  They give you two outfit ideas for each piece, and a written description with more ideas on the back of the card.  Love that!

I liked all of the items!  They did a great job selecting pieces for me.  If everything had fit, I would have been tempted to take the 25% off discount and keep everything.  The dresses did not fit me well.  The jeggings fit, but I have a couple of pairs already that are very similar.  I did like the bracelet, but again, I have a few that are almost identical.  I loved everything about the tank, so I kept it.  The color, cut, and fit were perfect for me.  I wore it last weekend with white skinnies, aviators, gold flat sandals, and my Rebecca Minkoff Mini Mac (in almond with gold hardware).  Below, on the left, are some pics of the packaging that my fix arrived in.  Everything was neatly organized in the box with clear directions on how to purchase, return, etc.  I love those little details.  Makes all the difference!

Interested in getting your own Fix?  Here’s what you need to know:

What you get:  Five pieces of clothing/jewelry that have been selected for you according to the Style Profile you fill out online. They may throw in an unexpected piece here and there to get you out of your comfort zone, but for the most part, they stay close to your preferences/requested price point.

What it costs:  $20 Styling Fee to set up a Fix.  They mail you everything, you have three days to try the pieces on at home with your own wardrobe to see what works for you.  If you keep all five pieces you get 25% off the total order.  The initial $20 you paid goes toward your purchase.  Whatever you don’t like, you send back in the prepaid envelope that comes with your order.

How often can I get my Fix?:  As often as you would like!  You can sign up for an automatic monthly fix, but you don’t have to.  You can opt to schedule them at your own convenience.  Already looking forward to my next Fix 😉

Click here to get started and schedule your Fix!  **They have a referral program, so if you click on this link to sign up, I get Stitch Fix credit.  After you schedule, they will send you a link to send to your friends to do the same for you, too.  Yay!
