Spring Break In Taos + Saint Bernard Winter Sale

Taos Ski ValleyOur Spring Break trip to Taos couldn’t have come at a better time!  January and February were busy, and it was time to relax and recharge.  It’s important to Ryan and I that we spend time at Taos Ski Valley, so that our kids will appreciate the beauty of the mountain and feel comfortable there!

I loved spring skiing!  I returned to the Ernie Blake Snowsports School for adult lessons.  I’m happy with the progress I’ve made this season!  We also enrolled the kids in lessons at the Children’s Center.  Marisa was thrilled to take on her first ever black diamond run and Andrew enjoyed his first skiing experience.

While Taos is known for its steep, vertical runs, most people don’t know there’s actually plenty of beginner and intermediate terrain.  This variety makes it perfect for a family vacation.  There’s something for everyone!  And, if you don’t want to take on the mountain alone, both the adult and children’s programs are well known for their wonderful instruction for all levels.  After experiencing the adult beginner program first-hand this year, and seeing how much our children enjoy the kids program, I’d recommend it to anyone who wants to learn technique and develop a love for skiing or snowboarding!

This post wouldn’t be complete without sharing the fantastic sale prices on my ski gear.  Big thanks to Saint Bernard for helping us get ready for our trip!  Now’s the best time to buy, if you are looking for new winter pieces.  Great news:  Everything already on sale at Saint Bernard is now an additional 20% off with code EXTRA20OFF, now though the 19th!

The extra discount takes the price of my Obermeyer outerwear down quite a bit!  I loved these pieces because they fit well, looked sporty-chic, and they kept me warm without feeling bulky.  I wore the jacket on the slopes and casually.  While the days were warm, the temperature drops quite a bit at night.  The Tuscany jacket paired well with everything I packed…I loved it’s versatility!
