A couple weeks ago I mentioned that I registered for the Six:02 6K…
Well, I’m still on track to do it, and I’d love to have you join me on November 14th for a fun morning of fitness and pampering! I’m excited about this race because not only will it be a scenic Dallas course, but they’ve incorporated beauty and style perks into the event. With the Sweaty to Ready Salon, runners will get to enjoy post-race hair styling, massage, manicures, and more! AND, Six:02 has generously given me three entries to give to my readers…enter the giveaway at the end of this post for a chance to win one of them!
Recently, I shopped Six:02 at Galleria Dallas, and found some fab training gear!
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again… there’s just something about a fresh new workout outfit that gives me an extra push to hit the gym or trail. Look good, work hard, feel great is my motto when it comes to workout motivation! And, have you seen their shoe wall? It’s pure sneaker bliss!
On this visit, the Adidas by Stella McCartney line immediately caught my attention!
I loved the sleek look of the pieces and high performance fabrics. I was drawn to the Run Performance Collection, and chose a unique cut-out training tank and run tights with mesh and zipper details on the lower leg. I loved the tank because it has a higher neckline and can be paired with any of my favorite sports bras underneath for support. I topped this look with a super chic ruched jacket with navy accents. I thought these were basic, yet stand-out pieces, worn together or paired with other items already in my closet. I also picked up a pair of the latest version of my favorite running sneaker, the Nike Free 4.0, in neutral shades. Can’t go wrong with those!
Also catching my eye at Six:02 was in-house brand, Reflex! The pieces from this line are fashion forward and most are under $50! I liked the long sleeve pullover tops to wear to/from a workout or casually. I also liked the active pieces. I tried several on and thought the quality and fit was great! This brand is definitely a style steal, be sure to check it out…
My training has stayed the same, but I’ve added a bit more running to prepare!
I’ve continued my resistance training program from The Move Project and have added classes that include running intervals, such as Precision Running at Equinox. I’m more of a casual runner, not really competitive at all, but I enjoy doing one or two races per year to mix things up and have a goal to crush. Plus, I like to invite some friends and make it a date!
Hope you can join me! Comment below if you sign up, and be sure to enter my giveaway…I would love to see you there! Thanks for stopping by!
