West Shore Redo: Holly & Martin Bar Cart

Holly and Martin Bar Cart Styling Mid Century ModernBar Cart gifted by Holly & Martin.  All opinions are my own.

It’s been just over a month since we moved and we’re starting to feel settled in our home!  Moving is never fun, but it was rewarding for us as it gave us an opportunity to start with a clean (decor) slate.  We brought only what we really wanted to keep and gave away/donated quite a bit.  (For more on our home renovation follow @west.shore.redo!)

It’s been exciting to live in our new space and fill it slowly with things that truly capture our attention and match our style.  Our home was built in 1962, and we’re leaning towards pieces with a mid-century yet modern feel.  It was important to us as we began the remodeling process to have open living/dining/kitchen space for hosting friends and family.

When having guests over, the first thing I like to do is offer them a drink!  Whether it be an alcoholic beverage, a refreshing mocktail, or coffee/tea/water, I think it’s an immediate welcome gesture.  A bar cart was at the top on our list of pieces to search for…

Holly & Martin is a home furnishing brand that specializes in fresh, contemporary pieces that are as versatile as they are stylish.  As I browsed their site, we fell in love with the Zhori Mid Century Bar Cart.  The brass accents, clean lines, and mobility caught our eye, and we knew it would be a perfect fit for our open concept living/dining area.  And, I was happy to see the pieces are high quality at an affordable price point!  This bar cart also comes in black or white with brass…

To style the bar cart, less is more!  We added simple glassware, fresh flowers, and a few of our go-to beverages to start.  Lately, we’ve been into this take on the margarita; tequila on the rocks topped with Topo Chico with plenty of fresh lime juice!  (We’re currently doing a Whole30 reset so we’ve replaced the tequila with kombucha + Topo Chico or LaCroix with a squeeze of fresh lime for now. Be on the lookout for a Whole30 Mocktail post, coming soon…)

Thank you, Holly & Martin for the chic and functional gift!  We can’t wait to fill it with drinks to share at our next gathering…

What are your favorite things to stock on a bar cart?  Thanks for stopping by!

I think nothing looks better on a bar cart than a vintage martini shaker and vintage glasses.

I love this bar cart. We have a wet bar in the corner of our family room just off of our kitchen. I have had to switch to vodka and cranberry for my signature drink as it is less likely to cause migraines for me. I loved to drink wine but the tannins do not work with migraines, I miss it very much.
