Just arrived home, and looking forward to sharing our adventures with you…
It was an AMAZING 5 weeks and I’m so thankful we could stay for a while, and really enjoy Taos. Over the next few weeks I’ll be sharing some of my favorite things we did and places we visited while we were away. I posted quite a bit on instagram and fb as we went along, but most of the activities haven’t made it to the blog…yet!
While I was in Taos, I fell in love with hiking!
I discovered it’s a great workout and at the same time, very relaxing. Being surrounded by nature and taking in the breathtaking views and fresh air is so good for the soul! I found myself inspired, by being able to think more clearly, without the usual distractions. I went every chance I got while we were away, and I included the kids, too!
I’ll be writing a separate post about the specifics of the hikes we did…
For now, I’m focusing on the comfortable, versatile gear I wore for hiking! Taos Ski Valley can be chilly this time of year, especially in the morning. It is super important to wear light layers! My favorite combo was leggings, tank, long sleeve top or light jacket, baseball cap, and trail running shoes.
I loved the Alo leggings I found recently at Carbon38!
This site is a favorite because it’s always on the cutting edge of fashion forward activewear. When I browse Carbon38, I find new brands and styles to love. The Alo crops I’m wearing here have chic details, like strategically placed sheer and shiny panels to flatter your legs. They are very comfortable and the fabric is super high quality, not sheer at all. I highly recommend…and they come in a gorgeous shade of cobalt blue, as well.
These photos were taken in beautiful Arroyo Seco, nestled between Taos and Taos Ski Valley. I love spending time here, discovering unique finds in the shops and galleries, or stopping at Taos Cow for a well deserved ice cream cone on the way home from hiking. We discovered a beautiful garden and I couldn’t resist doing a few yoga poses in the lush, colorful setting!
Have you shopped Carbon38? Check out a few of my favorites below, currently on my wishlist! Thanks for stopping by…

I love Alo gear! It’s my favorite for style and is long wearing, too. It’s nice to not have the same pieces as everyone else.
Hope you have another great hike today!

Hi Alicia! I agree…Alo definitely has unique styles, and great colors and patterns, too.
Back in Dallas now, but we sure enjoyed our time in Taos:-)
Hope to see you soon!
