Happy Fall!

How to Style Sperry BootsWe’ve had high temps this week in Dallas, but in other parts of the country fall is in full swing!  We visited New Mexico a few weeks ago and experienced the season and changing colors.  It was wonderful!  I usually hate packing but found myself happily putting things in my suitcase for the cooler temperatures in Taos.  I jumped at the chance to wear fall pieces I haven’t been able to wear here quite yet!

While in NM, I had another opportunity to work with Bonnie, of Fleur De Lis Arts Photography!  We connected over the summer and instantly bonded over our love of the Taos area.  This time, she suggested Angel Fire, just a short (and stunning!) drive from Taos, for the beautiful aspens.  We also took family photos in this area, so much fun!  The kids loved it…Andrew was in stick collecting heaven!  For more on our latest Taos visit, check out last week’s post

I don’t wear a lot of patterns, but I love stripes!  This ivory and navy sweater caught my eye on a recent shopping trip, and I had to have it.  I have a feeling it will be a favorite this winter!  It’s on the thicker side and very soft and comfortable.  I was drawn to the lace up details and slightly cropped, boxy shape.  (For another casual lace up top, check out this post!)

It’s been a popular style that’s selling quickly!  Just in case you don’t find it in your size, I went on a search for y’all and found some other great lace up and striped top options, shown at the bottom of the post…just scroll through and click on the pictures to shop! Several are on sale…

fdla8727 fdla8805I’m always on the lookout for stretchy, comfortable jeans, and I found this pair on a recent Target run, under $30!  Love them, and also got another pair in a super dark rinse wash.  (Right now they’re offering buy one, get one 50% off!)  They’re high rise, distressed, and very fitted in the lower leg.  Perfect to tuck into boots, without bulk!  I’m wearing my Sperry boots from last year, a favorite of mine.  They’re great in the rain, but because they are fleece lined, they keep your feet warm in cold weather as well.
