Paleo Waffles | Double Dose BakeryI’m always on the lookout for healthy breakfast ideas for myself and my family…

It can be quite the challenge as everyone has such different tastes!  And, we have limited time in the morning to get out the door, so anything too labor intensive is out of the question.  It’s so important for all of us to start the day with a balanced meal that’s low in sugar and doesn’t cause a mid-morning crash.

Recently, we tried Double Dose Bakery toaster waffles and LOVED them!

They come in three flavors; blueberry, chocolate chip, and original.  They got two thumbs up from both kids, so I would say that’s pretty darn good!  My favorite was the blueberry, and the kids loved the chocolate chip (of course!).  Everyone liked the original.  I’m definitely going to keep our freezer stocked with these yummy waffles for busy mornings ahead!

What I liked about them is that they are grain-free, gluten-free, soy-free, dairy-free, and contain no refined sugars…

No junk added!  They are made of high quality ingredients, and satisfy that “bread” craving I occasionally have, eating paleo style most of the time.  But, unlike actual waffles, they don’t leave me feeling tired and bloated! They have a subtle amount of sweetness to them, and the original can even be used to make a breakfast waffle-wich, using savory ingredients.  (Also available is Simply Stacked baking mix, which is 100% grain-free!)
