How is it December already??
The time just seems to fly during the holiday season! I always feel like I have to remind myself to slow down and enjoy the moment, even when my to-do list is a mile long. Each year I try to simplify things more and focus on what is most important to me, which is quality time with my loved ones. Much easier said than done, but it’s so worth it to say no to things that are further down on the list! All of that being said, I’m looking forward to old family traditions this season, and making new ones as well. I’ll be sharing some of the things we love to do here and on social media so be sure to follow along! Feel free to share yours, too!
Also…this may sound crazy, but I’m starting to plan for January!
I’m working on lots of things to share with you, to help you kick off 2016 on a healthy note! First, Ryan and I will be doing a full Whole30, starting January 11th. More details on that coming soon, but I wanted to let you know now because I would LOVE to have you join us if you are interested! (You may also want to check out their latest book to get started.) Second, we are going to do a workout series to go along with it. Our Summer Workout Series received great feedback from y’all, so in January you will see new workouts from The Move Project! During this month and next, I’m going to be sharing more about what has worked for me over the last few years, in terms of my fitness and wellness journey. If you have any questions regarding these topics, please leave them in the comments or email me. I will be sure to include them/answer them in my upcoming posts!
Ok…on to today’s outfit!
You know I’m all about layers, and these are some of my go-to’s lately! Here are the details:
I found this lightweight, water resistant anorak at Target and I have been throwing it on over everything. It comes in six colors and is on sale now for $32! They also have a heavier-weight version with a faux fur lined hood.
This basket-weave sweater is great to wear with jeans or over a workout tank and leggings. It’s from Athleta, so its breathable yet keeps you warm with is merino wool Regul8 blend (which is also machine washable)! It runs kind of big, so I would suggest sizing down if you get it…
These are my first pair of jeans from Topshop, and I love the price ($65!) and the fit! They come with a 30in inseam, which saves me a trip to the tailor! The Leigh style has the perfect high rise and just enough stretch.
With all of the rain we’ve had in Dallas I had been wanting a new pair of rain boots. I have Hunters, which I love, but these shorter Sperrys caught my eye! They’re lined in fleece and keep my feet warm, great for days its chilly out, but not cold enough to break out the snow boots.
Hope your month is off to a great start! Thanks for stopping by!
