Sweat Schedule: Week of May 15th

Sweat ScheduleIt’s that time…summer is coming, and our schedules are about to change!  I want to be sure to stay on top of my workouts, so I’m bringing back my weekly Sweat Schedule!  I’ll be sharing more of my weight training schedule each week, as well as classes I’m planning to take.  (Of course, there’s always room for flexibility, and schedules do change sometimes.)  All of that being said, it helps to set my intention at the beginning of each week!  I’m much more likely to stick to it when I put it out there…

After a week of high rep/lighter weights, this week I’m going back to a heavier weight/lower rep routine (3-4 sets of 6-10 reps).  I love the training split Ryan currently has me on.  Its broken up into three different workouts and has a day built in for cardio or a class and then I just start over again.  Usually, I do my strength training program at The Move Project 4x/week, with one or two days of just cardio or classes added depending on my schedule….

This week I’m excited to get back to yoga at Core Power Yoga Preston Forest!  It’s been a while since I’ve incorporated it, and I can honestly say that I’ve missed it.  I love how it gets me focused on breathing and calms my mind!  Also on the schedule is the new Platform Class at Pure Barre Preston Hollow.  Super excited to try this one because it adds a cardio component to the traditional Pure Barre class format.

Not going to lie, I’m also looking forward to wearing outfits geared towards yoga/barre this week!  I have some new mesh sticky socks from SHASHI that I can’t wait to wear to barre.  And, I’ll be trying out a lightweight yoga mat from Liforme.  See below (or check out my SHOP ACTIVE and ACTIVE UNDER $50 sections) for a roundup of active pieces on my radar for summer!  Thanks for stopping by! xx
