WORK IT OUT WEDNESDAY IS BACK!

Its been little while since my last circuit post, but Work It Out Wednesday is back!  I hope to post more workouts regularly, so if you have questions, or if there is something specific you’d like to see featured on Work It Out Wednesday, comment below or email me and let me know.  Today, I am going to show you some of my favorite movements to emphasize lower body, back, and arms.  There are two groups of exercises.  Do 1-3 sets of the first group before moving on to the second group, completing 1-3 sets of that group as well.  Perform each movement 8-12 reps.  Make sure you use an appropriate amount of weight, so that by the time you get to the 8th or 9th rep, it is difficult, but you are still able to maintain good form.

On another note, I have a confession:  I cannot remember the last time I wore shorts to work out in!  I am pretty sure it has been at least 10 years.  Shorts became one of those items of clothing I had somewhere along the way decided were “not flattering” on me… whatever that means!  It became a little silly after a while, and then early this summer, I was at Lululemon admiring all of their cute shorts on display and thinking, why won’t I wear those?  I realized that it really was something I needed to get over, and push past the insecurity.  No one is perfect, and I don’t know why sometimes we (I) hold ourselves to that standard!  Plus, I feel proud of the definition I have gained in my legs due to my weight training program. So, in the spirit of “Loving the Skin You’re In,” as I have been talking about all summer, I decided to purchase my first pair of shorts from Lulu!  They are so comfortable, and I actually love them!  They are the “Run Times Shorts,” which in my opinion are the perfect length for me.  I also tried on the “Speed Shorts,” and liked them as well.  But, in the end, I was a fan of the little bit of extra coverage that the “Run Times” offered….baby steps, right?!?
