Recently I had the opportunity to try LFT Personal Training, a brand-new fitness concept in Plano. The idea is simple…affordable and accessible personal training in a motivating setting! LFT was created by Candice Flores, an experienced personal trainer who also holds a degree in Kinesiology. Her mission is to provide consistent, quality training at a great price through membership.
Key elements that make LFT unique…
- Purchase a monthly membership at $49.99, and your sessions are at a discounted rate, $39.99/1 hr one-on-one session or $29.99/ 1/2 hour session. (You can try an intro session before you sign up.)
- Four different types of signature sessions to choose from. You can bulk it, tone it, burn it, or fix it! Taking your goals into consideration, your trainer will help you determine the best combination of sessions for you.
- Interactive heart-rate monitoring is utilized to make sure you are in your ideal zone for your goals. By using this tool, your trainer can make sure you’re getting the most from your workout. (You can see your numbers displayed on the screens in the gym…it’s motivating!)
I tried a Tone It session for my workout with Candice. What I really liked about it was we kept moving throughout the gym, alternating between isolated strength movements and cardio intervals. I got my strength training in while also getting my heart rate up enough to break a really good sweat.
It was helpful to be able to see how hard I was working (my heart rate percentages) on the screen as I worked out. I left the gym feeling strong and energized! The clean, modern, and private enviroment was very inviting. Lockers, showers and bathrooms to change are available if needed. My workout with Candice was both challenging and fun! The photos below show some of the exercises included in my workout…
Because they can tailor the workouts to each person’s fitness level, LFT is a great option for newcomers to exercise or those who are active and just want the extra push that training provides. If you live/work in the Plano area, pay them a visit! Try it: During the month of April, they are offering their intro one-hour session at the discounted rate of $19.99! (Regular price is $39.99.)
Speaking of great price points, Old Navy Active has a wonderful collection this season! The entire outfit I’m wearing in this post can be purchased for under $80…less, if you have a discount code or coupon! (Right now there’s a 20% off online code: BIGSAVE)
High neck tanks with cut-in shoulders are one of my favorite styles right now. This one stands out with its racerback, mesh accents, and built in bra (with slots for cups). Their run compression leggings are also a steal at under $35, sweat wicking with a nice amount of support for tough workouts. They even come in different inseams…I’m wearing the petite version here. And finally, I love the shape of this white tech fleece high/low hoodie…perfect contrast to the my all-black outfit!
Since so many of you have asked me to recommend activewear at a lower price, I started a new tab in my Shop section that features Active Finds, All Under $50! The pieces you see here are included, plus more, and I will be updating it regularly. Be sure to check it out…its in the upper right corner of the main menu bar, or click here.
Thanks for stopping by!
