Last minute gift idea: Game Night Baskets!
With the holidays (and shipping deadlines!) quickly approaching these are quick to pull together and easy to tailor to different ages and interests! These make a fun and thoughtful gift for anyone, really! And, there are SO many game options in stock and ready to deliver or pick up in time for the holidays!!
I used my Walmart+ membership to get unlimited free delivery ($35 order min, restrictions apply) on everything I needed from our local store to build these baskets! They took less than 15 minutes to put together and many of the games I chose were on sale. Walmart+ has been a game changer (!) during this season, helping us save time and money on holiday items and everyday grocery essentials…

To Build the Baskets…
Select the size of basket you need! I chose neutral grey lined baskets versatile enough to be repurposed in any home! I put three to four games in each basket but you could also do a smaller size basket with one or two games and a couple of snacks. These baskets are available in smaller and larger sizes too.
Wrap it up with Ribbon
I was looking for an easy way to make the basket festive and chose this red ribbon with black piping to tie a big bow. To keep it simple, I just attached a mini ornament as a cute tag on the front. I’ll be the first to admit…I’m not the craftiest person! If crafts are your thing you could go all out and add more decorations to the baskets. Ready to give as is or place it in a cello bag and tie another bow on top…
Fill a basket with favorite games and snacks to enjoy!
Customize to suit the recipients and your gift budget! I chose a mix of classic and new games, some we already love and others I’ve heard are fun. For snacks I chose a mix of sweet and salty popular snacks such a movie theater boxes of candy and microwave popcorn. The options are endless, really!!
FYI: The family version of Cards Against Humanity (for ages 8+) you see here contains a LOT of “bathroom” words. I did not know this until I opened it to take a look. Depending on the age of your kids/your family’s rules and preferences it may or may not be a good fit. Perfect example of why it’s always a good idea to preview new games before breaking them out with the fam to play!
