Well, it’s that time y’all! With move in just a few short weeks away we’re rounding up the dorm room essentials on our list…
(This post was written in Fall 2021, but the recs are updated! See her freshman dorm transformation here!!) We’ve studied the detailed lists/tips sent out from her school, the parents association TTU facebook page, and all the articles I’ve read on Grown and Flown! We toured her dorm and took videos and measurements. We’ve been savvy and shopped everywhere from Walmart to Amazon to Pottery Barn. Can you tell that my way of coping with change is to try to be as prepared as possible?
Despite all of that, the fact is I’m a total rookie.
It’s my first time sending a child off to college so I’m not claiming to know all the things!! But, I’m excited to share what we’ve learned so far and hopefully will have some seasoned advice once we get through this big transition.
The best advice I’ve been given in case anyone needs to hear it is: remember there is no wrong way to do this, have fun together planning and shopping, and you can always add to what you take initially (don’t overstuff the room)!
I’ll be updating this page as go and sharing before/after pics!
I’ve linked our favorites so far below and in my Top Five at Container Store reels roundup…please share your must haves too! don’t miss The Container Store discount:Get 15% Off Or 25% Off When You Spend $200. Text CLASS to 22922 to save again and again.
*Save 15% on Dorm Essentials at Dormify when you sign up for their email list! We love their selection of twin XL bedding!
Everything you see in the collage is linked below!
This process has been overwhelming but fun and exciting at the same time! New beginnings can be scary but when we support each other and do it together it’s much more enjoyable. I’m incredibly thankful for all the words of encouragement you have shared! Please continue to share your ideas and wisdom with us. I will add them to this post so everyone can benefit!
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day! xx
