WE YOGIS, “POWER HOUR” & “TRUE YOGIS”

First Impressions:  Gorgeous new studio!  They have great customer service.  All of the staff I encountered on my visits were very helpful and friendly.  Great local artwork that is available for purchase lines the walls in the hallway where the studios are.  I think this adds a nice touch!  We Yogis is a family friendly studio.  They have childcare during nearly all of the classes called Future Yogis Care.  The space for childcare is wonderful.  There are huge comfy beanbags, nice toys, a chalkboard that lines one wall, and tables and chairs for coloring and playing.  How awesome is that?!  Not only do they have childcare, but they also have yoga classes for kids and tweens.  There is even a class designed for parents to take with their kids, as well as couples yoga.  So many options!  I think this is an amazing concept that I have not seen much of in Dallas.  Usually, if you want childcare during your workout, you are limited to joining a gym that offers it.  Another thing I liked is that they have mats and towels available for your use.  All you need to bring is yourself and a water bottle!

The Workout: To be honest, I haven’t done much yoga since before my last pregnancy, so it has been over two years.  Yikes!  It feels really good to get back into it. They have a special intro price for new students, $20 for one week unlimited.  Great deal!  We Yogis offers a wide range of classes.  So far I have tried Yogis Power Hour and True Yogis.  Both were great classes.  They are considered intermediate classes, but you can always make modifications or push yourself harder where needed.  The teachers are very helpful in this way.  The True Yogis class offered more opportunity to do inversions and balances, but both had a great flow to music and focused on building strength, flexibility, and balance.

Final Thoughts: I am a We Yogis fan!  They really go out of their way to make it easy for you to make it to class.  The environment is happy and comfortable.  If I could take everything I want and make the perfect yoga studio, We Yogis would be it!  The teachers are fabulous and it is just an overall great place to practice.  I took my son (18 months old) with me to childcare while I attended one of the classes, and he loved it.  So much to do, and the childcare teacher was really sweet with the kids.  It is a studio for anyone from a true beginner to a seasoned yogi.  I will be back for more!
