I’ll begin by saying that this style series was so much fun to work on!
It was a true collaboration with Galleria Dallas Fashion Stylist, Holly Quartaro, to share my Top Three Active Trends for Summer with you. Together we pulled looks that highlight each trend. Considering the size of the Galleria, this was no small feat…we definitely got our cardio in that day with all the walking we did!
The first trend I want to talk about is Mesh. If you have been reading for a while, you know that I go crazy for anything with mesh cutouts. The great thing about this trend is that you can be as bold or as subtle with it as you want, depending on your comfort level. I tend to think more is better when it comes to mesh, but for today’s look, I want to show you how to wear the trend in a more understated way. You don’t have to show a lot of skin (unless you want to!) to wear mesh!

I loved these space dye crops because of the perfectly placed mesh inset along the outer calf, and the many colors included in the space dye pattern. You could pair almost any color top with these to coordinate. We chose a sunny yellow tank and a crisp white jacket with mesh panel details on the back. The jacket would also be adorable paired with a tennis skirt. We finished the look with bright yellow and pink Nike running sneakers…so great for summer! This is a look that could take you from your workout to a shopping/coffee date with ease!
