Red and White Winter Active Layers

In yesterday’s post, I shared my four tips to start 2016 feeling healthy and strong. We only have a few weeks left of 2015, so why not make the most of them! Take some baby steps to get or keep you on the right track, even through the holidays. You’ll be glad you did!

I also shared a new favorite all-black active look, to wear on its own or as a base for layering. These pieces are versatile to purchase for yourself, or as a gift for any stylish active woman on your list!

I started with the supportive and super comfortable Athleta Stunner Tank. I love this style of tank because it looks simple in front, but has an exaggerated t-back. It makes your back look fantastic!
I paired this with my Alo Yoga Moto Panel Leggings I’ve been obsessed with! The alternating piped moto, shine, and mesh panels are so flattering and add some edge to a basic pair of black leggings.
You’ve probably heard me mention these before, but Nike Free Flyknit 4.0 Sneakers are hands-down my favorite for working out. They’re super flexible, allowing natural foot motion/gait. And they come in several great colors, neutrals and bold brights!

To this, I added:

Remarkawool Turtleneck: A soft + light layer with thumbholes, made of machine washable marino wool. Seamless, sweat-wicking, and comfortable! And, it comes in the perfect shade of red!

Down With It Jacket (on sale now!): Super warm, yet lightweight and packable down jacket. It is currently marked down, plus take an additional 20% off with code EXTRA20, ends 12/13! I love a bright white jacket because it looks sharp with everything…only challenge is keeping it clean when children are around! It’s a great length to wear with leggings and has a cinch waist to give it some shape. Made of wind and water resistant outer fabric.

Ugg Bailey Button Boots (0n sale now!): Winter weather means breaking out the Uggs! They’re an essential! I love the three button style, but the one button low boot (also on sale!) has also caught my eye this season…

Big-O Keyring: I never knew how much I needed this until I got one! It’s amazing. It’s become one of my favorite gifts to give, too. Thanks to this keyring, I lose my keys 90% less than I used to! And, I love the colors, textures, patterns it comes in. This company also makes a nice small pouch to attach to it to carry your phone and cards. Due to the amount of various stuff (junk) I carry around with me, I need more space, so I just attach the ring to a standard cosmetics size pouch. The one pictured here is from Old Navy and is no longer available in stores, but this one is very similar. If you really want this one, you may have some luck locating it in-store. It’s convenient to be able to pull this out of my tote when I don’t want to carry a bigger bag with me…
