This photo is from yesterday’s Holiday Mini Session with my dear friend, Jennifer Cortes, of Jennuine Photos. I needed some new photos for our Christmas cards, and a mini-session was the perfect way to get it done. I met Jennifer a couple of years ago, and we became fast friends! Since then, I have done many sessions with her, of our family, our kids, and for the blog. I enjoy working with Jennifer because she is so talented and really puts everyone at ease when she is shooting. Not to mention, she is fantastic with children! My 2 year old is not fond of having his photo taken these days, and despite that, she manages to get a great shots of him every time. I am so thankful for that, because lately when I try to take his photo, he runs away! Another thing I love about working with her is that she always captures a variety of shots, from candid to more formal. When she sends me the online proofs, it is always difficult for me to narrow down which images I want because there are several great choices! I am a huge fan of taking family photos often, not because I love taking pictures, but because I want to capture moments in our family’s life. Time seems to fly by, and I love to capture the stages our children go through. They are always on to the next stage before you know it! They change so quickly, even in a year’s time….I get sentimental thinking about it!
