HAPPY 2013!

I hope everyone enjoyed their Christmas/Holidays. I know I sure did!  I spent a week in Taos, enjoying both time with my family, and yummy northern New Mexico food. I had Green or Red Chile at almost every meal!  Mmmmm!
It was cold and snowy, so I didn’t feel like getting out and doing much. I did not work out as often as I had planned, but we did some fun family activities instead.  We made multiple trips to Taos Java coffeehouse for their delicious coffee and cozy fireplace seating area.  We introduced my daughter to skiing (finally!) at Taos Ski Valley.  She LOVED it, and is begging to go again soon.
My sister and I went to the Taos Spa and Tennis Club for weights and cardio workouts.  I love working out at Taos Spa!  I was a member there during high school and when I was home from college, so I enjoy going back for a workout when I am in town. I seem to bump into an old friend every time. They have a great selection of equipment and classes, and in the summer, the pool and tennis courts are awesome.
As a family, we went to Taos Hunting Co., which has an indoor archery range. I had never shot a bow before, and it was really fun once I started getting the hang of it.  My cousin and her husband recently opened Taos Hunting Co, and it was great to see the place and hear all about their business.  They have the shooting range, sell archery equipment, and also have an outdoor educational camp for kids in the summer.
I am now back home in Dallas, and trying to get back on track with everything!  It was a nice break, but it feels good to get back into my normal routines.  I have also been reflecting on my goals for 2013….I will be sharing those soon!  Do you all have any goals for 2013?  I’d love to hear them!  Here are some photos from my trip to NM….
Happy New Year!
