Yay for Friday! Hope you all have had a great week! This off shoulder denim dress is a new favorite, great to dress up or down…and it was made for me. Really!! This concept was particularly appealing to me because being petite, I usually have to take my clothes to the tailor to be altered in some way. It can be difficult to find things that fit right off the rack! Most of the time, the length, sleeves, or straps (on dresses) are too long. When I ordered this dress, I chose the semi-customized option (as outlined below in #2) and provided my size, height, and preferred length (above knee).
Here is how it works:
- Choose a style…they have an extensive selection of dresses, skirts, and tops.
- Order as-is, using their size chart and providing your height. Then, make modifications to the sleeve and skirt lengths, if desired. On some styles, you can even modify the neckline!
- Or, go totally custom and provide more detailed measurements (plus the info above in step 2), for a made-to-order garment. You can also choose to add/remove pockets. I happen to love pockets, so I kept them for this dress!

Overall, I was very pleased with the fit and quality of this denim dress! (It also comes in black.) I don’t usually go for a fuller skirt because I think its too much volume on me, but it was a fun style to try. And, when it was scaled down for my height, I actually ended up loving it! To give the look a 70’s feel, I paired the dress with a cognac fringed clutch and platform wood block heels, both under $50! eShakti also has this great denim off shoulder top (in black, too) I have my eye on, that would be perfect with white jeans or shorts…
