Current Yoga Favorites + lululemon warehouse sale

What to wear to yoga class this summer with lululemonRecently, I mentioned I’ve started to practice yoga again.  I’m very consistent and happy with my strength training routine, but was looking for something to mix it up on days off.  (Typically, I lift weights 3-4 times per week, following my program from The Move Project.)  I’ve always loved yoga and the benefits its brings to my mind and body, so I was excited to start practicing again!

I’m attending classes at We Yogis and enjoying being back on my mat!  We is a local studio I absolutely love and feels special to me because they were my very first studio write up when I started blogging!  I was initially drawn to it then because my son was one year old at the time and they offered child care during classes (and, still do).  It’s a family friendly studio, and offers yoga classes and camps for kids/teens!

We Yogis has several types of classes, levels, and times on their schedule to choose from, at 3 Dallas-area studios.  The open-level vinyasa flow classes, We Flow and Rockin Yogis, are my favorite lately.  I love walking out of the studio post-class feeling refreshed and focused!  I’ve visited the original Lovers Lane studio several times, but also love the Uptown studio…

Dallas friends, if you’d like to try We Yogis I’ve got a special offer for you!  Enjoy a week of free classes with my code: LOUBIESANDLULU.  During your free week, you can try different teachers/classes to find the perfect fit for you!  This offer is valid for new students…

What to wear to vinyasa yoga class

This type of yoga is sweaty and flows quickly, so lightweight fabrics that stay close to the body are key!  I like to wear my lightest, most breathable pieces to this type of class.  During yoga I don’t want to think about my clothes.  They need to be ultra comfortable and move with me!

  • Align pants from lululemon have been my go-to (also available in a crop length and in several colors)!  They’re incredibly soft, thanks to amazing Nulu fabric.  The high waistband does not cut in, lies flat, and stays in place.  I’ve been a fan of the Wunder Under for years (and still am!), but these are hands down my new favorite for yoga!  The fabric is thinner and less compressive, also making it great for the hot summer months…
  • The Turn About tank was an impulse purchase that I’ve been very happy with!  It can be worn knotted in front or back, or left untied.  I pair it with a Free to Be Tranquil or Free to Be Zen sports bra.  I’m hoping this is a style that sticks around for a while!
  • As far as mats go, I’m still trying to decide if I’ve found “the one!”  The Manduka Mat shown here has been great, as well as the one I have from Liforme.  Also thinking of getting a yoga towel.  Experienced yogis, please share your favorite yoga mats/towels/mat cleaners…I’d love to hear what your picks are!

And…speaking of lululemon, did y’all hear the scoop on the BIG Warehouse Sale, May 19-21?  Over my years as a lulu fan, I’ve heard others rave about these sales, but we’ve never had one here in Dallas.  We’re in luck this year, as the big D has been chosen as a location for this huge sale!  For more information/hours click here!
